What’s Going on in the Market Today?

This time of year, the supply of homes sinks lower than the demand from buyers, which makes it a great time to sell.

Today I want to talk to you about what’s going on in the local real estate market.

We’re entering into the fourth quarter of 2017, and I have a lot of conversations with sellers particularly, where they tell me they’re thinking about waiting until next year in the spring , because they have heard that spring is the time to sell.

Now, there are more properties that sell in the spring due to the seasonal cycle of sales, yet what you have to understand about that cycle is that there’s also a supply and demand equation.

We see a spike of sales every single December

In other words, what we find for this time of year is that supply of homes reduces along with the number of buyers, but they don’t reduce proportionally. The number of buyers stays above the level of supply, which will cause your property to sell for a higher profit by reducing the pool of options buyers have.

We see a spike of sales every single December; that’s a result of the properties that are listed today.

If you’ve been thinking of selling in the last six months, I’d love to share with you some details about the market in your area, and be able to explain to you not only the seasonal cycles, but the macrocycles, as well as any other economic indicators that will impact the sale of your property. Give me a call or shoot me an email. I’d be happy to talk to you.
